Review : MSI RTX 5060 Ti Gaming Trio OC Edition 16 GB

A series of games are already DLSS 4 compatible, on the day the RTX 5080/5090 is launched. We’ve been able to get hold of them in order to start a series of tests and highlight the performance achieved thanks to DLSS 4. We’ll be coming back to the qualitative side of the rendering in detail in the coming weeks. Of course, the upscaling principle here will be to support our faceMSI RTX 5060 Ti Gaming Trio OC 16 GB at 1440p performance with graphics options at maximum and ray tracing or path tracing if available.

To measure our FPS, we had access to a beta version of CapFrameX v1.7.5. This measurement tool is certainly one of the best and most intuitive when the game doesn’t have an integrated benchmark. If you’re interested, we can go into more detail on how to use it in an article. We wanted to see how our MSI RTX 5060 Ti Gaming Trio OC 16 GB would perform with the Multi Frame Generation available for the RTX 5000.

Cyberpunk 2077:

First thing’s first, with ray tracing in Overdrive mode, all cards suffer. In 1440p, our MSI RTX 5060 Ti Gaming Trio OC 16 GB achieves an average of 18.3 FPS. This average increases with the use of MFG x2, x3 or x4. This is the typical case where we advise you to lower the graphics options to get a comfortable ray tracing average before activating the MFG.

Hogwarts Legacy: The Hogwarts Legacy

The same is true of Hogwarts Legacy, where in 1440p rasterisation we managed to achieve an average of 48 FPS, which is already close to 60 FPS before using the MFG.

Alan Wake 2:

The same applies to Alan Wake 2: our cards suffer when the graphics options are set to maximum. You’ll have to be less greedy before resorting to the MFG.

Star Wars Outlaws :

The feeling of going from 26 FPS to 178 FPS in 1440p for our MSI RTX 5060 Ti Gaming Trio OC 16 GB remains a sensation to be tested in-game. The number of native FPS and those generated seem to us to be really unbalanced. As you can see, we’ll have to look at the visual quality of the various upscaling options and how it feels in-game with Frame Generation or Multi Frame Generation activated.
